Today I’ve passed Exam 70-417: Upgrading Your Skills to MCSA Windows Server 2012 and I’ve became Microsoft Certifies Solution Associate Windows Server 2012. For that exam wasn’t so hard because I am testing Windows Server 2012 from pre-beta stages, but the exam wasn’t so easy also. As described in Microsoft learning site the exam is divided in 3 smaller exams:
- Exam 70-410: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012
- Exam 70-411: Administering Windows Server 2012
- Exam 70-412: Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services
As you can see these smaller exams you can guess how many question the exam has. If you decide to take this exam I suggest to learn the following technologies in Windows Server 2012:
- Hyper-V
- IPAM
- Clusters
- File Services
- Active Directory and AD Federation Services
- Windows Backup
- Network Policy Server
- Dynamic Access Control
- Remote Access
Taking this exam if you eligible to take it will give you MCSA: Windows Server 2012 certificate. This certificate counts as credit towards the following certificates:
- MCSE: Server Infrastructure
- MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure
