Extended Windows Server 2008 MP for Operations Manager

Matt Goedtel wrote a management pack that extends the functionality of the original Windows OS management pack. The MP even has a documentation attached. Find more information and download location here.

PowerShell 3.0

Final version of PowerShell 3.0 is here and it is now available for Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 & Windows Server 2008 SP2 systems. PowerShell 3.0 is provided ad windows update that actually contains updates for several technologies:

  • Windows PowerShell 3.0
  • WMI
  • WinRM
  • Management OData IIS Extensions
  • Server Manager CIM Provider

Manage NIC via PowerShell

Microsoft published a nice article on Partner &Customer Solutions Blog about how to take advantage of PowerShell in managing NICs.
