A small update on this topic. If you do not want your customers to face error 0x800F0906 when they try to install .NET Fraemwork 3.5 on Windows Server 2012 or 2012 R2 I would suggest you to install and disable .net FRamework 3.5 feature with DISM prior syspreping your images. Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter Final Version Released

Solutions Accelerator team released the final version of MVMC that will allow you to convert VMware virtual machines to Hyper-V virtual machines. Documentation is also provided with the tool. More about the tool and download location are located here.

Virtual Machine Servicing Tool 2012 Beta available for download

VMST is the tool that can help you in updating your offline virtual machines, VHDs and templates with latest operating system and application patches.
