HP Insight Control for Microsoft System Center 7.1

Insight Control for Microsoft System Center is software that integrates HP hardware and products with System Center components. Here are the new features in this release:

  • ProLiant next-generation (Gen8) servers supported:  BL420c, BL465c, DL380e, DL360e, ML350e
  • Database support for Microsoft SQL Server 2012
  • Unattended backup support
  • HP Systems Insight Manager 7.1:
    • Federated CMS advanced search
    • Two-factor authentication
    • Support for nested groups
    • Suspend all monitoring/discovery of VMs on VM host by host
  • HP Insight Control 7.1:
    • Support for the latest OS releases and Hypervisor updates
      • RHEL 5.8, RHEL 6.2
      • SLES11 SP2
      • Xen on RHEL 5.8, SLES11 SP2
      • KVM on SLES11 SP2
      • ESXi 5.0 U1
    • Browser support:  Internet Explorer 9 (full support), Firefox 9, Firefox 10
  • HP Insight Control for Microsoft System Center 7.1:
    • Support for the following new ProLiant servers:  BL420c, BL465c, DL380e, DL385p, ML350e, DL160
    • Support for installation of HP SCVMM 2012 Integration Kit on clustered SCVMM 2012 management servers

    Note: Support for SCCM 2012 is no present and will be added in later release.
